Actors: Gerard Butler, Jaime Foxx, Bruce McGill, Colm Meany, Leslie Bibb, Regina Hall
Rating: 7 out of 10, action, suspense movie that just misses being great. Butler does an absolutely great job as the vengeance driven super mind and Foxx provides the right amount of gravitas as the district attorney pursuing him. I was watching the unrated version which was a bit of mistake as I had no need to see the actual dismemberment of one of the murderers. The movie just misses because the plot just goes places that stretch credulity beyond even my expanded vision of the possible. This was still a fun movie to watch trying to figure out how Butler was killing people even while locked in maximum security. The movie expresses the frustration most of us feel with a flawed justice system but goes a little overboard.
MVP: Butler shows real range in the rage he feels as Clyde Shelton in pursuing vengeance for his murdered family
