Actors: Tom Cruise, Cameron Diaz, Peter Sarsgaard, Viola Davis, Jorde Molla, Paul Dano
Rating; 9 out of 10, just pure candy but a huge win for this movie's stars. Diaz and Cruise make a great team especially with the comic bits that really make this movie so much fun. The romantic arc the two follow is also very engaging and both stars are lovable. I loved the part where he's rescuing her while she is still affected by truth serum. Cruise is more than adroit with all the physical aspects of his role which are substantial, but at the same time he's somewhat poking fun at the genre that has made him so popular. This movie is action packed from the very beginning and never lets up. The action is so well done that you forget that 99% of it is completely impossible. I didn't know what to expect going in to this movie but I ended up just flat loving it. The added benefit was that part of it was shot in and around Boston so there was a lot of familiar terrain evident. Only a completely stuck up movie critic could fail to love this movie - my kind of cinema - go see this.
MVP: Cruise, not always my favorite, but comfortable enough in his own skin to poke fun at himself as the super agent Roy Miller.
