Rating: 7 out of 10, this movie was skewered in most circles when it came out but I really enjoyed it. Reynolds does a very credible job with the role and injects just enough humor to make it multidimensional. The action scenes are extremely well done, it continues to amaze me what they can with CGI nowadays. Lively, almost unrecognizable as a brunette ably fills the romantic interest role without being just window dressing. Strong is completely unrecognizable as an alien but he once again provides real screen presence. Reynolds is a very interesting actor and can play cocky without being obnoxious and he carries this movie with ease. The plot moves right along and kept my interest throughout. Again, I do not understand why so many people disliked this movie - I thought it was great.
MVP: Reynolds in the title role as the flawed super hero.
