Actors: Will Smith, Gene Hackman, Jon Voight, Jason Lee, Regina King
Rating: 8 out of 10, great action, interesting plot with great acting and pace. One of the first movies where you realize Smith has the wherewithal to carry the entire movie. He’s smart and effortlessly performs the physical parts – transforms into a real movie star. The pairing with Hackman is great – interesting connection to his earlier movie The Conversation.
MVP: Hackman as the crusty old operative
