Actors: Will Ferrell, Bob Newhart, James Caan, Mary Steenbergen, Zooey Dechanel, Ed Asner
Rating: 7 out of 10, cute story with an engaging cast and over the top Ferrell which is what was called for. His character’s unbridled love of Christmas struck a cord with me. Caan really mailed in this one and is irredeemable as the guy who is supposedly redeemed. Steenbergen and Dechanel are both great in their small parts.
MVP: Zooey Dechanel as the wispy love interest for Buddy is luminous and quirky
